SARS OFFICIALS SHOOT SECURITY GUARD, OTHERS IN ONITSHA
Traders at the Main Market Onitsha are protesting the shooting of their colleagues who were allegedly shot by SARS officials.
According to an eyewitness report, operatives of SARS stormed the market to arrest an alleged phone thief who specialises who selling stolen mobile devices. When they could not locate the suspect at his outlet, the resulted to carrying his ‘show-glass’ filled with phones.
They were however ‘challenged’ by the Chairman and some security guards who demanded they should have consulted them before taking any action.
The SARS officials reportedly beat and shot one of the security guards. After which the protesters began pelting their vehicles with stones before they drove off.
“The SARS been don beat the Security man. One Security man, come out to tell them say dem for see them before doing anything. SARS PROVOKE DRIVE BACK USE MOTORS JAM PEOPLE, SHOOT GUN, DEM SHOOT THE SECURITY MAN FOR LEG AND OTHER INDIVIDUALS FOR LEG. Na that one, make people dey Protest begin stone them as the Drive Off” – an eyewitness reported
