PSG, INTER, MAN CITY BATTLE FOR OSIMHEN’S SIGNATURE
It has been revealed that more glamorous clubs in Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain, had been interested in the signature of the Nigeria international.
According to reports, the French Ligue 1 champions explored the possibility of signing Osimhen in 2016 after winning the top scorer award at the 2015 U17 World Cup.
In addition to PSG, Inter Milan and Manchester City showed interest in the lanky striker.
Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg finally won the race for his signature in January 2017 but the Nigerian struggled in Germany and had to be loaned out to Sporting Charleroi, where he impressed with 20 goals in 36 games which attracted the attention of Lille.
The 20-year-old opened his UEFA Champions League account as Lille were beaten 2-1 by Chelsea on Wednesday.
Victor Osimhen has had a blistering start to his career at Ligue 1 club Lille, scoring 7 goals in 10 appearances across all competitions.
