BBNAIJA’S PERE DENIES ROMANTIC INVOLVEMENT WITH KOGI STATE FIRST LADY
By Adeniyi Onaara
Pere Egbi, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, has denied having an affair with Rashida Yahaya-Bello, the first lady of Kogi State.
The former US soldier turned reality TV celebrity revealed this on Twitter in response to a message speculating on the connection.
“For the record, the publication about me and the First Lady of Kogi State is a diabolical lie and a product of Jackson Ode’s twisted brain, and those retweeting that nonsense must answer me in court both in Nigeria and in the United States of America,” he tweeted.
Pere’s tweet came just hours after a Twitter user claimed he was dating First Lady Rashida Yahaya-Bello.
“Why is Pere Egbi from #BBNaija all over the place with Rashida Bello, Kogi’s first lady?” The rumor in Abuja is that they are lovers. Mrs Bellos and Egbi are claimed to have been seen multiple times at the Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The gist is that the first lady gave Pere 5 million naira when they first met,” he tweeted.
The tweet was, however, deleted by the Twitter user.
The Kogi state first lady has yet to issue a comment in response to the charges leveled against her.
Pere was one of the housemates on the reality show’s sixth season.
