APC PRIMARIES: HOW DELEGATES ARE LIKELY TO VOTE

With the Presidential Primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled to hold today in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, the world is eager to know who the ruling party presents as candidate for next year’s general elections to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari after the end of his tenure.
As the delegates are about now converging on the Eagles’ Square; Hotjist.com brings you a projection of how each state’s delegates will vote amongst the 13 Presidential aspirants cleared by the screening committee led by former National Chairman of the Party; John Odigie-Oyegun.
The cleared aspirants are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu, Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi. Jigawa State Governor Badaru Abubakar, former Niger Delta Minister Godswill Akpabio and former Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi.
Others cleared by the committee are former Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, former Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, former Technology Minister Chris Onu and Tein Jack-Rich.
Below is how delegates are expected to vote and the aspirant expected to score more than 50% of the votes of each state’s votes:
