TUNDE BAKARE – I WILL SUCCEED BUHARI COME 2023
By Adeniyi Onaara
Pastor Tunde Bakare, one of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) presidential hopefuls, said he was uninformed that the party’s leadership had picked five candidates for the party’s primary poll.
Bakare expressed confidence in his ability to win the APC presidential nomination and succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, whose second term ends in May 2023.
Bakare told Channels TV on Tuesday, “I went through the screening.” “I was cleared, and no one told me in any way that I had been disqualified.”
“In a civilized society, if I apply for a position and pay all of the required expenses, courtesy demands that you inform me that my name is not on the list,” Bakare, a Lagos-based pastor said.
In the face of a formidable field of candidates, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu, Bakare reaffirmed his forecast for Nigeria’s 16th president.
“I am grace-filled. I am well-liked. I am endowed with the God-factor. Give me a chance to speak with party delegates, and you’ll see what happens,” Bakare added. “The president will be number 15, and I will be number 16.”
However, the cleric stated that whoever emerges as the APC presidential candidate at the conclusion of the convention will be congratulated.
