LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT (LASG) MANDATES SCHOOLS TO REGISTER AND VALIDATE DATA
By Sumayyah Olapade
Lagos State Government (LASG), through the Ministry of Education, Office of Education Quality Assurance, has begun the necessary registration, data update, and validation process for all approved, registered, and unregistered Nursery, Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form schools in the state.
The school registration and validation process is necessary to determine which schools are still in operation in the state.
The Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) is in charge of standardizing, monitoring, and regulating all schools (Private and Public) below the tertiary level in Lagos State, including the creation and management of a database of all private schools in the state.
The registration period begins on Friday, July 15, 2022 and ends on Friday, August 12, 2022. School proprietors and proprietresses must utilize a Google Mail account to complete the form, upload a copy of their National identity card, basic information about current school managers and administrators, and other essential documents. Schools with many campuses must register each one separately.
For registration, all schools below the tertiary level are required to visit the website of the Office of Education Quality of Assurance (www.oeqalagos.com) to access the data update form and download guidelines to completing the form. The form can also be accessed by typing the applicable link below into a browser.
