The General Officer Commanding 82 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, has honoured four soldiers serving in the Division for their diligence while performing their duties.
Staff Sergeant Amodu Simon, Sergeant Oyinbo Emmanuel, Corporal Mbanaso Isaac, and Private Ibrahim Lawal are the honored soldiers.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Col Abubakar Abdullahi, they were honored on Tuesday at Abakpa Cantonment Enugu, where each received a brand new motorcycle as well as letters of commendation from the GOC.
During his presentation to the soldiers, Maj Gen Lagbaja praised their actions as laudable and exceptional, praising the soldiers’ diligence in ensuring the hygiene of the various cantonment areas assigned to them. He challenged other Division soldiers to follow in the honorees’ footsteps.
The General Officer Commanding revealed that the four motorcycles provided to the soldiers were a token of appreciation for their exceptional performance. As a result, he advised them not to deviate from their responsibilities even if they believed no one was watching.
Each of the four rewarded soldiers was chosen after carefully studying their conduct over a period of time in various units of the Division.
