EFCC URGES LANDLORDS TO REPORT TENANTS LIVING ABOVE THEIR MEANS
By Adeola Abdullah
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has urged owners of residential properties to report their tenants who appear to be living above their means.
This was contained in a social media post made on the Commission’s official handles.
The post also warned landlords that ignorance is not defense (against the law).
It stated “To the landlords, do your KYC diligently on a prospective tenant and be sure of who your tenant is. Remember, ignorance has never been a defense.”
