No one who viewed the docuseries will be able to make an objective assessment, according to R. Kelly’s staff.

Kelly has already started preparing for his Chicago-based second trial. The 55-year-old will be charged with child pornography and obstructing the legal process.

The accused victim from his 2008 case, who remained unidentified for many years, is anticipated to finally testify, as we reported yesterday. He has submitted a motion to the judge as he and his team are ready to appear in court.

All prospective jurors who have seen “Surviving R. Kelly” have been urged to be disqualified by the “Bump n’ Grind” musician and his team. as some were present in his previous trial.

The docuseries came out in January of 2019 and spoke on the alleged abuse, pedophilia, and predatory behavior that women encountered at the hands of Kelly.

According to legal documents that TMZ was able to obtain, “any potential juror who has watched any portion of this docuseries must be disqualified for cause on whether they can be fair, as there exists too great a risk that such a juror would base their verdict on matters not introduced into evidence in the courtroom.”

Any prospective juror who has watched any part of Surviving R. Kelly is biased, and there is no situation in which someone who has been exposed to the material of Surviving R. Kelly can be impartial, it was further said.

The two-season television program had numerous meetings, including the one that is about to start. Even though R. Kelly was found not guilty, his defense team insisted that bias was still a possibility.

Additionally, some of the things mentioned on television will not be included in the trial, which could alter the juror’s decisions.

Jury selection is expected to start soon, according to the media outlet.
