Senator Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has contributed N100 million to flood victims in Kano as part of his efforts to aid flood victims.
This comes as Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje lauded Tinubu as a leader who will bring the country together and take it ahead.
On Saturday night in Kano, he made the news during a dinner hosted by the Kano Business Community Council in his honor.
According to him, the donation was intended to alleviate the sufferings of victims in the state’s impacted Local Government Areas.
Tinubu then appealed for continued prayers to end the state’s and the nation’s flood catastrophes.
If elected, the APC candidate pledged to make Nigeria’s diversity a source of wealth for everybody.
“Unity in variety, peace, and prosperity are the fulcrum of my purpose in this contest,” he says.
He did, however, reveal that the Federal Government had taken many steps to improve infrastructure and the ease of doing business across the country.
The APC presidential contender promised to reposition existing industries as a competitive source of industrialisation and growth for the entire country, not just the North or Kano.
He also praised Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for his efforts to improve the state’s infrastructure.
While describing Ganduje as a “friend and a trusted collaborator,” the APC candidate stated that the relationship between Kano and Lagos dates back years due to the similarities between the two economic behemoths.
He also assured the business community that he would create a climate conducive to corporate growth in the state.
While praising the business sector for the honor, he vowed that if elected, he would look into their blueprint.
“If we win the election,” Tinubu stated, “we will call your representatives and see how we can move the country ahead.”
Earlier, Governor Ganduje stated that Tinubu possesses the necessary leadership to consolidate and sustain the country’s democratic successes.
“Kano is APC, and APC is Kano,” he says. So our workers are on board, and we’re asking for their help as normal.”
Ganduje described Tinubu as a leader who will bring the country together and drive it ahead.
Ganduje also urged all party members to stay unified and focused as the party marched with Nigerians to victory in 2023.
Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, National Chairman of the APC, spoke on the occasion and praised the business community council for organizing the meal for the presidential candidate.
As a result, he characterized the gesture as an endorsement, claiming that their demands would be granted if Tinubu were elected president.
However, key members of the business community council spoke and presented Tinubu with their blueprint, appealing to him to provide enabling environment for businesses to grow and flourish if elected.
While urging him to focus on power because many industries had to close owing to a lack of consistent power supply. They then praised President Muhammad Buhari for completing the state’s largest train project, the AKK gas pipeline, and the Dala Inland Dry Port.
The Governors of Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, and Zamfara States, Abdullahi Ganduje, Alhaji Badaru Abubakar, Alhaji Bello Matawalle, and Alhaji Mai Mala-Buni, accompanied the APC presidential candidate to the event.
Members of the National Assembly, the state executive council, and other party leaders were among those present.
