Netflix released a commissioned film titled ‘Blonde’ in August 2022, based on the life of the deceased actress.
The two-piece wedding suit worn by late American actress Marylin Monroe during her wedding to baseball player Joe DiMaggio is being auctioned off and is expected to fetch a high price.
Gotta Have Rock and Roll will auction off her two-piece wedding gown from 1954, and the auction house believes the winning bid will be magnificent – a winning range of $1.5M to $2M.
The actress is dressed in a dark brown Serge suit with a white fur collar on the jacket.
According to TMZ, Gotta Have Rock and Roll purchased the suit at a Macy’s and later gave it to the mother-in-law of her personal photographer, Milton Greene.
The auction began yesterday, November 23, 2022, and is expected to last until December 9, 2022.
Monroe was a top-billed actress for a decade, and by the time she died in 1962, her films had earned $200 million (approximately $2 billion in 2021).
For a long time, she has been a significant pop culture symbol. Netflix released a commissioned film titled ‘Blonde,’ based on the life of the deceased actress, in August 2022.
In this fictionalized account of her life and career, Ana de Armas plays the actress.
Both critics and viewers gave ‘Blonde’ negative reviews. It was described as a complex, deeply contentious film.
