Following rumors of an altercation between Offset and Quavo, new footage of Cardi B yelling backstage at the Grammys emerged.
Though there have been conflicting reports regarding the alleged fight between Quavo and Offset, Entertainment Tonight obtained footage that appears to confirm a backstage brawl. Cardi B was seen yelling at several people backstage at the Grammys, according to ET.
But it’s unclear who she’s yelling at. “You’re both wrong! Both of you! “This isn’t right!” she can be heard saying. “No, bitch, shut up because you shouldn’t have been talking.”
Evidently, something triggered Cardi at that precise moment. Given how the video surfaced following recent reports of an altercation, it appears to be related to that. “I heard you back here settled some stuff,” ET said to Cardi B as the smoke cleared. “The only thing I settled was my outfit, honey,” she said dismissively.
TMZ reported yesterday that Offset and Quavo had an altercation backstage at the Grammys. While Quavo was preparing to take the stage to pay tribute to Takeoff, the Grammys reportedly asked Set to join him.
However, Quavo allegedly stopped Offset from walking on stage, resulting in a physical altercation. They needed to be separated, according to the outlet, just before Quavo went on stage.
Initially, sources close to Offset were said to have blamed Quavo for the incident. However, shortly after the news broke, the “Ric Flair Drip” rapper denied any involvement with Quavo. “What the f*** do you look like fighting my brother yal n***as is insane,” Offset wrote.
During the Grammys’ In Memoriam segment, Quavo performed “Without You,” his tribute song. For the segment, the Migos rapper and the Maverick City Music choir collaborated. Quavo’s first performance since Takeoff’s death, and he made sure to honor his nephew’s legacy.
He walked down the red carpet wearing Takeoff’s chain before hanging it on the microphone stand and holding it up at the end of the performance. “Very important. Long live Takeoff,” he told ET about the significance of being at the Grammys on Sunday night.
