HOUSE OF APC SINGER SET ABLAZE BY HOODLUMS IN KANO STATE

The residence of Dauda Kahutu, a well-known singer for the All Progressive Party (APC) in Kano state, has been set on fire by some unknown thugs.

The hoodlums alleged to be members of the Kwankwasiyya group, who are supporters of the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) Rabiu Kwankwaso, invaded the residence of Mr Kahutu also known as Rarara, located at the Zoo Road area while celebrating the success of the governorship candidate of the NNPP, Abba Kabir, during the governorship election in the state.

According to witnesses, the hoodlums set a part of the house on fire, as well as some of the vehicles that were parked inside, and stole valuables before the arival of the Police. The singer, was reportedly away when the incident happened.

The singer was not there when the incident occurred, according to reports.

The musician has caused the opposition a lot of trouble over the years with his music, which typically supports APC figures like the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

The police spokesperson in Kano, Abdullahi Kiyawa, said the police are patrolling the metropolis to ensure law and order and urged political leaders to refrain from making inciteful comments.
