IMAM IBNULQAYYIM ISLAMIC FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES FOOD, OTHER PALLIATIVES TO FASTING FAMILIES
In its annual Ramadan Wellfare programme, the Imam IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation on Friday distributed food and other supplies to 100 Muslim families
The non-governmental organisation through her project tagged: 1444 Ramadan Welfare Package, gave out various food items, including rice (15 bags), beans (2 bags), yam flour (2 bags), semovita packs, cartoons of vegetable oil, cartoons of tomato paste, packs of sugar, and a bag of millet to a crowd of Muslim community members at the Muflihun Group of Schools, along Muslim-Mosfala Road, Ibadan.
Ustdh Rasheed Haashim, the director of the foundation, stated that the annual free distribution of food and other palliatives is intended to help alleviate the distress of needy Muslims who are fasting. He added that although 100 families were initially budgeted for in this year’s 1444 Ramadan Welfare Package, the foundation later procured additional bags of rice when a mamoth crowd arrived at the location.
The carefully selected beneficiaries, who are primarily elderly and widowed, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the foundation and the donors, praying for Allah to continue to bless them and the organization’s leadership.
The director expressed gratitude to the foundation’s board of trustees, regular donors, and all Ramadan donors this year. He gave thanks in particular to the members of the Islamic Talk WhatsApp Groups, the family that provided some of the food, and the Unilomga WhatsApp Forum members who provided the majority of the funding for the project.
Also, Ustadh Haashim invited individuals who have been favoured by God to help the foundation in all of her philanthropic endeavours, promising donors that their money will be used wisely.
He prayed for Allah to bless all of the sponsors of the IbnulQayyim Islamic Foundation’s charitable endeavours before saying a heartfelt thank you to them all.
