
COURT GRANTS EBUBE ‘BEBEX’ AND ACCOMPLICE BAIL OVER ASSAULT OF A MARRIED LADY

A magistrate court sitting in Ogba, on Wednesday, has granted bail to two traders in the Mercedes Benz, Ladipo Market, in the Mushin area of Lagos State, who were detained over alleged assault of a married lady on 20th April, 2023.
The traders, Ebube Eddy aka Bebex and Ali Musa, were granted bail by Magistrate O.A Odubayo of the Samuel Ilori Magistrate court in Lagos.
The duo were charged on three count bothering on Felony, assault and cause of breach of peace, punishable under section 411 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charge against them.
During the proceedings, the defense counsel, P.J Azubuike, applied for their bails in liberal terms on the ground that the alleged offence was a misunderstanding between two neighbors in the market and could be settled.
Ruling on the bail application filed by the defense counsel, Mrs. Odubayo, granted each of the defendants bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum in addition to other bail conditions.
