On the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York on Monday night, retired tennis champion Serena Williams announced her newest endeavor: she is expecting her second child.
Just before she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art dressed in a black and white gown for the fashion industry’s biggest night of the year, Williams posted on Instagram, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”
The 41-year-old tennis legend is pictured cradling the growing fetus while posing in a black and white gown with her husband, Reddit CEO Alexis Ohanian.
The event, which traditionally holds every first Monday of May, had its 2023 theme as, ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ honouring the late designer, who died in 2019.
