On Wednesday afternoon, the incoming president of Nigeria left for a working tour of Europe.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the next president, traveled to Europe on a working trip on Wednesday afternoon from Nigeria.
With some of his closest aides, he will use the trip as an opportunity to finalize the transition plans, programs, and policy options without undue pressure or distraction.
The President-elect will meet with investors and other important partners during the tour in order to promote investment prospects in the nation and the preparedness of his administration to create a business-friendly environment through laws and regulations.
Meetings have already been scheduled with representatives from the manufacturing, agricultural, technology, and energy sectors of the European business community.
Through collaborations that are advantageous to both parties and are based on the creation of jobs and the development of skills, AswƔj Tinubu intends to persuade them that Nigeria is prepared to conduct business under his leadership.
The gathering is part of Tinubu’s efforts to re-establish Nigeria’s prominence in the global economic system and generate empowering opportunities for the nation’s sizable youth population. Reviving the country’s economy is a key component of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope program.
The visit shows the President-elect’s dedication to keeping his promise to get things moving quickly, as he has already started discussions with international players in the crucial fields of security and the economy.
Asiwaju Tinubu met with the All Progressives Congress-endorsed candidates for Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Hon. Benjamin Kalu, who were introduced to him by the Joint Task Team of the House, before he departed the country.
He is scheduled to return shortly for preparations towards his official swearing in as the 16th President of the country on May 29, 2023.
