LAGGS OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION, CLASS OF 93 MAP OUT ACTIVITIES TO MARK 30TH ANNIVERSARY
Preparations are in top gear as the Lagos Anglican Girls Grammar School, Surulere, Old Girls Association (LAGGSOGA), class of ’93’ maps outs activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their graduation.
This was disclosed to Hotjist in a statement jointly signed by the President LAGGSOGA 93 set, Lydia Nwajei, and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Abiola Azeez.
The anniversary will feature a Symposium which will feature experts and notable Nigerians who will address students of the school on the dangers of drug abuse and early sex.
There will be a spa day for the celebrants and an anniversary luncheon.
The grand finale will feature a thanksgiving service at the school chapel.
The guest list for the anniversary celebration which is scheduled to commence on 6th of September, through 10th of September 2023, includes Old Girls’ of the school as well as several notable Nigerians and dignitaries.
Founded 27 January 1955, Lagos Anglican Girls Grammar School (LAGGS) has continued to empower girls, from the youngest to the oldest, to become interested and engaged with the world around them, and able to hold their own socially and intellectually.
LAGGS has produced many successful entrepreneurs, professionals, government officials, social workers, and scholars who are transforming the world with their ideas and innovations.
These notable Nigerians include Ibiyemi Olatunji- Bello who is a Professor of Physiology and the present Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Chinyere Kalu; the first Nigerian female Commercial Pilot and the first woman to fly an aircraft in Nigeria, Olufunmilayo Olajumoke Atilade; a former Chief Judge of Lagos State, Kafilat Araoye; Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lotus bank and Yetunde Ladega who is a lawyer of repute and the National President of LAGGSOGA.
