Afrobeats musician Davido has comforted Wizkid, his brother and fellow musician, at the death of his mother.
Jane Dolapo Balogun, Wizkid’s mother, passed away at the age of 64 on Friday around 1:30 a.m.
The deceased, who was also the mother of Yetunde Balogun and Lade Balogun, was an unwavering pillar of support for her son’s burgeoning career in Afrobeats.
Davido sent his deepest sympathies to Wiz in his hour of need and wished him luck in overcoming his grief at the passing of the Balogun matriarch.
He tweeted: “Praying for you my brother @wizkidayo Sadness flies away on the wings of time.”
