JOY AS 14 IKOSI-ISHERI LCDA SUPERVISORS, SPECIAL ADVISERS GET CARS

It was a joyful atmosphere at the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA secretariat at Ikosi-Ketu on Monday August 29, 2023, as 14 members of the Supervisory Council and Special Advisers were presented with new cars by the Mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada.

The excited Mayoress in her remarks said, the car presentation is a show of recognition and appreciation to the Supervisors and Special Advisers who have been diligent in their respective duties and have worked closely with her in discharging her duties to the residents of the LCDA.

“These are the people that make the work easy to get done. There are roads and many other infrastructure to ease the lives of people living in Ikosi-Isheri and the brains behind these successes need to be compensated.”

She revealed that same was done for the councilors, vice chairman and the SAG’s in 2022 and now is the time for special advisors and supervisors because they believe in equity and ease.

One of the benefactors, the Special Advisor Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Abiola Azeez expressed her appreciation for the Mayoress and explained that the new car would ease her job as it would aid her to move around quickly and settle disputes among families when the need arises.

Honorable Gbadesere, the supervisor of agricultre couldn’t contain his joy as he had been waiting for it because it would ease his movement around all the CDA’s as opposed to using public transportation.

“I appreciate the Mayoress, she’s doing a fantastic job,” he added.

The Supervisor for Works, Akitunde Ige Olusegun Solomon, after thanking glorifying God and thanking the Mayoress says, “the car was given in order to have a flexible approach towards work and to be able to have access to free delivery of service”.

One of the leaders of the LCDA, Honorable Babatunde Adetunji in his reaction described the Mayoress as an “extremely kind and caring person,” especially “towards her staff and other residents of Ikosi-Isheri.”

As a testament to her commitment and hardwork, he added that “even though things are extremely hard, she has been able to find her way around it.”
