The land is located in the Pompomari Industrial Layout in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
According to the report, Mustapha neither delivered the land nor returned the buyer’s money.
Mustapha pleaded guilty to one count of cheating to the tune of N500,000 at his arraignment before Justice Umaru Fadawu of the Borno State High Court.
In light of his plea, prosecuting counsel A. I Arogha requested that the defendant be convicted and sentenced appropriately.
