LASG ORDERS IMMEDIATE VACATION OF TRAILERS PARKED ALONG CELE-TINCAN AXIS
Tankers and trailers parked along the Cele bus stop to the Tincan port axis have been ordered by the Lagos State Government to leave such locations right away or risk facing the full force of the law.
The Special Advisor to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. Sola Giwa, signed a statement on Tuesday that included this direction and stated that the procedure was “to address the ongoing congestion and alleviate the challenges faced by commuters.”
Hon. Giwa stated that the order aims to improve the general mobility experience for residents and commuters in the affected area, underscoring the state government’s commitment to ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and minimising disruptions caused by the persistent presence of these heavy-duty vehicles in the designated location.
He also restated the government’s core belief that the public’s safety and wellbeing must come first.
