JUST IN: FG EXTENDS FREE TRAIN RIDES TILL JANUARY 7
The free commuter passes for all train lines have been extended by the federal government until Sunday, January 7, 2024.
In accordance with President Bola Tinubu’s decree, the Nigerian Railway Corporation had declared that the free train trip would begin on Thursday, December 21, 2023, for all of its passenger services.
The free ride services would terminate on Thursday, January 4, 2024, according to the notice.
This came after the federal government announced free train tickets and a 50% waiver on interstate round-trip transportation as part of efforts to lessen the impact of the high cost of living in the nation, particularly during the holidays.
