LASPAGA STILL OPERATING IN LAGOS – OBA ASHADE AFFIRMS
By Aishat Momoh. O.
The Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA) management refuted an unconfirmed allegation that was making the rounds in various media circles on Friday, claiming that the organisation has ceased operations in the state.
At a press conference held in Lagos, LASPAGA Secretary Alhaji Olamilekan Amusan provided the clarification.
Amusan called such claims “false and misleading” and advised its members to be on the lookout for anyone wishing to incite violence in garages and parks.
According to him, the Oniba of Iba in Lagos, which is led by Alhaji Suleiman Raji, is still operating at full capacity in accordance with state laws.
“It has become imperative for LASPAGA to clear the air on rumours, misinformation and false claims going around in some media outlets that the operations of the committee have been purportedly terminated.
” We urge our members and operators in all designated parks across the state to disregard the fake news and continue with their lawful operations as the committee remains in full operations in Lagos state.
“We also appeal to our members and operators to ignore any provocation by purveyors of this fake news and their agents,” he said.
According to the Secretary, LASPAGA will remain a law-abiding and peaceful organisation, as well as committed to the welfare and safety of its members across the state.
