AFCON: PESEIRO ANTICIPATES TOUGH GAME AGAINST ANGOLA
Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has said he is looking forward to a difficult duel against Angola.
Nigeria and Angola will battle for place in the semi-final at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.
The Palancas Negras started the competition with a 1-1 draw against former champions Algeria.
Pedro Goncalves’ side have however won their last three games in the competition.
Peseiro stated that his players must be at their best to get a win in the game.
“We are ready for the quarter-finals, we will have more trainings, more practice before the game .We will give our best against them,” Peseiro told reporters.
“My players work well in training today (on Monday). They have recover well. We will do our best in training.
“We are going to face a tough team. We need to do our best to beat them.”
The encounter is slated for the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan.
