
POLICE ARREST TWO SUSPECTED CABLE THIEVES IN LAGOS
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Amisu Ahmed and Abdulahi Ubala for stealing electric cables in the Oshodi Local Government Area of the state.
This was revealed in a post via the command’s official X account on Sunday.
According to the post, police officers from the Isolo Division apprehended the group of vandals and took away equipment and cables used for their criminal activities.
The post read, “Police officers of Isolo Division, after receiving information from residents, arrested a group of vandals who were in the habit of removing electrical fittings from buildings under renovation and recovered from them wires and tools used to carry out their activities.
“The suspects, Amisu Ahmed’m’ aged 27 and Abdulahi Ubalawa ‘m’ aged 26, will be arraigned after an investigation.”
Meanwhile, it was reported that the Lagos State Police Command paraded eight suspected electric cable vandals, recovering more than 100 meters of armoured cable from the suspects last year.
