FRIENDLY: SIMON, YUSUF, SADIQ IN LINE TO START FOR SUPER EAGLES VS MALI
Moses Simon, Alhassan Yusuf and Umar Sadiq are in line to start Super Eagles’ friendly against Mali on Tuesday (today).
Simon was a late substitute in the Super Eagles 2-1 win against Ghana last week, while Yusuf and Sadiq remained on the bench for the entire duration of the game.
Nantes star, Simon can also play as a wing-back, which would help him earn a starting berth in case interim head coach, Finidi George George opted to go with the same 3-5-2 formation he used against Ghana.
Yusuf is expected to come into the starting line-up for the injured Frank Onyeka.a
Onyeka sustained an injury against Ghana and has returned to his club, Brentford.
Real Sociedad striker, Sadiq will lead the attack after he was snubbed for Cyriel Dessers against the Black Stars.
The game slated for the Grand Stade de Marrakech will kick-off at 9pm Nigeria time.
