JUST IN: AKIM YUSUF ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION FROM ADP

Akim Adebola Yusuf, the Oyo State Action Democratic Party (ADP) flagbearer during the 2023 General elections, has officially tendered his resignation letter to the party.
Mr. Yusuf made the official announcement of his resignation through a letter dated 2nd of April, 2024.
The statement reads, “I must, once again, thank Your Excellency and the Action Democratic Party for considering me worthy to be the Party’s Gubernatorial flag-bearer in Oyo State during the 2023 General elections. It was an exciting experience and I am proud to say that I ran the race to the finish without surrendering or compromising the mandate despite the barrage of local intra-party sabotage, external intimidation and offers of inducement.”
“However, after careful reflection and consultation with various stakeholders, I regret to inform you that I will. Be discontinuing my membership of the Action Democratic Party effective Immediately.”
“This is a painful but necessary decision while i will reflect on the best course of involvement in building the Nigeria of our dreams where the future oof our youth and coming generations are paramount in the decisions and actions of the present.”
“I thank all the members of the party and our candidates to the various elective posts who committed their hearts, energies and financial resources to the 2023 project.”
“Finally, I must thank God Almighty who gave us His blessings and protection and we suffered no injuries, accidents or fatalities as we transversed Oyo State.”
“Please remain assured of my highest regard always.”
