NEWS UPDATE: NINE ARRESTED OVER KILLING OF POLICEMEN IN DELTA
Nine people have been taken into custody in relation to the deaths of police officers in the Delta State town of Ughelli, according to the announcement made by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun.
At a force management meeting on Thursday, the police chief revealed this.
According to him, individuals who have been detained are now giving the force information that will help apprehend those responsible for the crimes.
On February 23, 2024, six police officers were slain at Ohoro Forest in the Delta State local government area of Ughelli North.
Six additional suspects linked to the killings are still at large in the interim.
