ONDO MONARCHS DIES 11 MONTHS AFTER ASCENDING THRONE
The Olojoda of Oda kingdom in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, Julius Omomo, has died at the age of 83.
A family source, Ade Adelakun, confirmed the monarch’s death on Sunday.
Oba Omomo was installed last May, following the demise of the previous traditional ruler, who died after a brief illness.
Adelakun described the deceased monarch as a humble, decent, and down-to-earth man.
“The late monarch cared for his subjects as well as the unity and progress of the state,” he said.
He also described the deceased monarch’s years of reign as remarkably eventful.
