EPL: IF WE DON’T GET NINE POINTS, ARSENAL WILL WIN TITLE – GUARDIOLA
Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has warned his players that they cannot afford to drop any point in their last three Premier League fixtures.
The champions crushed Wolves 5-1 on Saturday, to stay one point behind leaders Arsenal, who beat Bournemouth 3-0.
City however have three games left this season, while the Gunners have two.
Arsenal also boast a better goal difference – six better than Guardiola’s men.
When asked by Sky Sports if their big win over Wolves sent a message to their title rival, Guardiola replied, “The message is not about that, Arsenal also sent a message.
“He (Arteta) wins the games and they win the games comfortably.
“But yes, one week left, two for the FA Cup, but the Premier League has one week left and three games.
“We have to take nine points, otherwise Arsenal will win the title and hopefully, we can come back here in a few days and have the chance against West Ham to come here and win the title.”
