MAYORESS OF IKOSI-ISHERI PRESENTS CARS TO OBAS, MGT TEAM MEMBERS

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress and Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area on Monday presented cars to all three Obas in her constituency and some other members of the management team.

During the presentation held at the LCDA secretariat, Mayoress Samiat said the exercise was as a reward of due diligence stating that most of the members of the management team had received theirs and that is why this new set is being presented.

According to her, the officials vehicles presented to the beneficiaries was in appreciation of their commitment to the progress and development of the LCDA.

She urged them to not relent in doing their job diligently to the best of their abilities while assuring them that her administration will continue to do more if elected for the second term.

“We will continue to do these until we come again for the second term because as I have always said ‘My heart is where my people is’

“I also appeal to the people pf Ikosi-Isheri to support me in prayers.” She said.

The beneficiaries are Onikosi of Ikosi-Isheri, Oba Shangisha Aliu Lawal, the Olofin Adinmula of Mile-12, Mrs. Shofoluwe Olubunmi, the Human Resource Officer Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Mrs. Benson Oluremu Abeke, Tourism Officer, the LCDA clerk amongst others.

While speaking to the press, HRM Oba Alamu Oloyede Kehinde, the paramount ruler of Kosofe, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, said for over 17 years that he has been crowned king, he has never been gifted a car in the Local Government Area.

He mentioned that though, he was sponsored to Jerusalem for pilgrimage during Shoneme’s regime as Chairman of the LCDA but this came as a surprise.

The Onikosi said, “Today, there is a turnaround in our LCDA, courtesy of Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada. There’s been improved development since she assumed the seat and we are grateful for it.”

“I will advise that she listens to her superiors and elders because two heads are better than one and I pray that she will not derail.”

Meanwhile, Oba Alayeluwa Jamiu Lawal, Oba Shangisha Magodo, thanked the chairman while praying that all her heart desires will be granted.

He urged the residents to support the Mayoress in her quest to go for a second them.

Oba Lawal however, encouraged management team to continue to work hand-in-hand for the progress of the LCDA.

Human Resource Manager, Mrs. Shofoluwe Olubunmi, one of the members of staff who benefitted from the gesture, on behalf of management thanked the Mayoress and CM for the gift while assuring that they would all be diligent and committed in the duties for the development of the LCDA.

She advised everyone never to stop working hard as one day, they would get the reward of due diligence.

Shofoluwe said, “I’m happy and elated for these. It simply shows that we are being appreciated for all our efforts in the service and I am very grateful.”

Another beneficiary, Benson Oluremi-Abeke, the Tourism Officer, said the gift came as a surprise to her.

She thanked the Mayoress while pledging allegiance on behalf of the management team that they are ready to put in their best in being consistent and diligent in their work.

Recall that on March 12, 2024, Mayoress Bada presented a total number of six cars to the Iyaloja-General of the Council, League of Imams, Christian Association of Nigeria, Chief Press and two other local government stakeholders as a gesture to improve efficient service delivery and show gratitude.

She emphasized the gesture’s importance in advancing the council’s dedication to effective government, while underlining that giving her cabinet members automobiles was not only a way for her to keep her word but also a crucial step in helping them serve the people of Ikosi-Isheri more effectively.
