LAGOS STATE TO UNVEIL TRANSPORT POLICY FOCUSED ON EFFICIENCY, SUSTAINABILITY.
The Lagos State Government has announced the completion of its Transport Policy, a comprehensive plan aimed at improving traffic management, transportation accessibility, and overall quality of life for Lagosians.
According to the State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the policy is designed to address the needs of Lagos as a commercial hub and a major driver of the Nigerian economy. An official unveiling ceremony is planned, with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expected to attend alongside stakeholders, policy advocates, and industry experts.
The ceremony will provide an opportunity to delve deeper into the policy’s details and its anticipated outcomes for creating a more efficient and sustainable transportation system in the state.
The Transport Commissioner emphasized the policy’s flexibility and adaptability, ensuring it can accommodate Lagos’s integrated multi-modal transport system.
This system aims to be safe, reliable, comfortable, affordable, and efficient, all within the framework of a progressive and competitive market economy.
