EMPOWERMENT: IKOSI-ISHERI GRADUATES 55 PARTICIPANTS FROM ICT TRAINING

The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada on Friday, presented certificates of proficiency on Information, Computer and Technology training to 55 participants who have just concluded the three months training program.

The Mayoress who made this announcement during the graduation ceremony, held at Sen. Bayo Oshinowo Hall in the LCDA secretariat, stated that as part of the initiative and vision of the administration, the LCDA has provided the opportunity for the youths to enhance their skills and knowledge in order to thrive in a rapidly evolving orld.

She noted that the skills acquisition programme is symbolic as it is a testament of her commitment to technological advancement and job creation while emphasizing on the importance of digital literacy.

Mayoress Bada, urged all participants to continue learning by equipping themselves with vital skills. She said, “You are not only enhancing your home, but also contributing to the growth and development of our community.”

“As you step out into the world with your new skill, remember this is just the beginning. The knowledge you have gained here is a powerful tool that can open any door and create numerous opportunity. I urge you to continue learning, and remember the importance of giving back to the society

She  thanked all the instructors and coordinators for their dedication by working tirelessly in ensuring the success of the programme.

Chisom Blessing, a graduand of the ICT training program, expressed his gratitude and excitement. “We have undergone lectures and here we are, graduating today. I am one of the fortunate ones,” he began.

Chisom acknowledged the three-month training program, describing it as “three months of impact, knowledge impact.” He emphasized that the training had significantly broadened his understanding of the computer world, and he had learned a great deal within a short span.

Chisom praised the teachers and supervisors for their dedication and commitment to the students’ learning experience. He highlighted the personalized attention each student received, with one student assigned to a computer system, ensuring an uninterrupted learning experience.

The graduand commended Princess Samiat Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, for initiating the program, which he believed would not have been possible without her efforts. He also appreciated the fact that the training was provided free of charge, a rare opportunity for the youth in the community.

Jimoh Raheemah, a proud graduand of the ICT training program, publicly expressed her sincere appreciation to Princess Samiat Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, for providing a fully equipped computer laboratory that enabled several youths, including herself, to benefit from the comprehensive training program.

Speaking on behalf of her fellow graduands, Jimoh Raheemah thanked Princess Samiat Bada for her vision and mission, which had empowered them with valuable skills to excel in their future endeavors.

She assured the Mayoress that they would be good ambassadors wherever they go, making a positive impact in their communities.
