UPDATE: GUNMEN KILL THREE VIGILANTES, CIVILIAN IN IMO COMMUNITY
The Umuaka autonomous community in the Njaba local government area of Imo state is the site of the verified murders of three vigilante personnel and one civilian by gunmen, according to the Imo state police command.
The Commissioner of Police of Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, condemned the unfortunate incident in a statement released by the command’s spokesman, Henry Okoye. He stated that the tactical squad of the command has been deployed with the operational resources available to go all out in coordination with other security agencies and track down the hoodlums responsible for the heinous act.
He conveyed his regret for the regrettable event and swore that the command would stop at nothing to make sure the offenders were apprehended and prosecuted.
He prayed for the souls of the departed victims and expressed his sympathy to their families.
He also urged members of the public to disclose any information they may have at the closest police station that may help the police catch the thugs who carried out the attack, especially those who live in Njaba.
