The Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and President Bola Tinubu are currently having a meeting at the State House in Abuja.

The meeting’s agenda was not formally confirmed, although it might have anything to do with the August 1 nationwide demonstration.

Along with Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman of Kwara State, the head of Nigeria’s Governors Forum, the team of governors was led to the president’s office by Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, and the PGF chairman.

Among those seen were Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Benue State Governor Fr. Hycinth Alia, Bassey Otu (Cross River), and Philip Shuaibu, the newly reinstated deputy governor of Edo State.

Nuhu Ribadu, the national security adviser, and Abubakar Bagudu, the minister of budget and economic planning, as well as Wale Edun, the minister of finance, were also seen coming to the president’s office.

The current meeting comes after the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) met earlier on Wednesday night.

It occurs following the postponement of the Thursday noon National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.
