PARIS 2024: ONOJUVWEVWO FINISHES FIRST IN 400m REPECHAGE HEAT, REACHES NEXT ROUND NEXT ROUND
Nigeria’s Ella Onojuvwevwo has qualified to the semi-finals of the 400m Repechage after finishing first in heat 1 of the athletics at the ongoing Paris Olympic Games on Tuesday morning.
Onojuvwevwo finished with a time of 50-59 secs, while the duo of Wity-Ersetic of Poland and Sharlene Mawdsley of Ireland came second and third, respectively.
The Nigerian athlete will be hoping to book a place in the final when the semi-finals race comes alive later today.
It will be recall that on Monday, Onojuvwevwo placed 6th in the third heat of the women’s 400m.
Onojuvwevwo clocked a time of 51.65 seconds, falling short of automatic qualification for the semi-finals.
