
FORMER MINISTER ONU TO BE BURIED NOVEMBER 8
The remains of the first elected Abia Governor and former Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu will be buried on November 8, 2024 in his country Home, Uburu in Ohaozara LGA, Ebonyi State.
The first chairman of the Conference of Nigeria Elected Governors passed on April 11, 2024 after a brief illness at 73.
A statement by the burial committee of the former National Chairman of the defunct All Nigerian People’s Party (ANPP) by former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim and former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi in Abuja on Tuesday showed that the five-day funeral ceremony will hold in Abuja, Abia and Ebonyi States.
According to the burial committee, a night of tributes is slated for November 4, 2024 at Musa Yar’ Adua Centre, Abuja by 5 pm while a Requiem Mass in his honour will hold at Church of Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja on November 5, 2024.
Lying in State of the 2023 presidential aspirant is billed for the Abia State Executive Council Chambers on November 6 by 11.00 am
On November 7, Lying in State will be conducted at Ebonyi State Executive Council Chambers by I2 noon and a Requiem Mass/Christian Wake will hold at Uburu by 5 pm.
The funeral service and interment at Uburu, Ohaozara LGA, Ebonyi State – 11 am is billed to hold on November 8, 2024.
