MBAPPE PETITIONS UEFA OVER €55m PAYMENT DISPUTE WITH PSG
Kylian Mbappe has reportedly filed a complaint with UEFA over Paris Saint-Germain’s refusal to pay him the money he was allegedly owed during his time at the Parc des Princes.
According to Le Monde, as reported by Caught Offside, PSG could face a Champions League ban if found guilty of these allegations.
This summer, Mbappe moved on a free transfer from the French club to Real Madrid, and it seems the France international may not have parted with his former team on good terms.
The player is rumoured to believe he is owed up to €55 million, potentially sparking a heated confrontation between him and PSG’s owners, Qatar Sports Investments (QSI).
It will be fascinating to see what, if any, action is ultimately taken against PSG, as Mbappe has also contacted the LFP.
The Ligue 1 champions are undoubtedly furious about these developments, especially as losing Mbappe to Madrid has already dealt them a significant blow.
Rebuilding the team without the 25-year-old, who was a prominent figure at the Parc des Princes for many years, is certain to be challenging.
Mbappe scored 256 goals and provided 108 assists during his 7-year tenure at PSG, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer when he netted an injury-time goal in the team’s 4-2 victory over Nantes.
