
ENTERTAINMENT: RICH HOMIE QUAN DIES AT 33
Atlanta rapper Dequantes Lamar, best known as Rich Homie Quan, died at the age of 33.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner confirmed the story on Thursday, adding that Grady Memorial Hospital had reported Quan’s death.
The reason and manner of his death remain unknown, and an autopsy is scheduled for Friday, September 6.
Quan made his hip-hop debut in 2013 with the single “Type of Way,” which reached number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.
He was a member of a new wave of rappers noted for their great emotion and passion in their songs.
Quan worked with major musicians, including Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug, and was regarded as a rising star in the business.
