ARSENAL RANK TOP IN PREMIER LEAGUE’S BIGGEST TIME WASTERS
Arsenal have been ranked as the Premier League’s biggest time wasters.
This was revealed in a post published on the X handle of talkSPORT.
The Gunners were accused of using various tactics among which include time wasting in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Manchester City at the Etihad.
Going down to 10 men after taking a 2-1 lead, Mikel Arteta’s men went defensive throughout the second half and some of the players occasionally went down, which many believed was deliberate in order to waste time.
City eventually equalised in the 98th minute thanks to substitute John Stones.
Following the dramatic clash on Sunday, the top 10 teams who are Premier League’s biggest time wasters was released with Arsenal at number one with an average delay of 31.8 seconds.
At number two is Leicester who have an average delay of 31.7, Brentford in third with 31.2 and in fourth is Wolves with 30.8 in average delay in seconds.
At number five is Aston Villa (30.4), Everton are number six (30.3), Chelsea are in seventh (29.3), Brighton are eight (29.2), Newcastle in ninth (29.0) and Ipswich complete the top 10 (28.7).
