BOWEN UNIVERSITY DEBUNKS PARTNERSHIP RUMORS WITH PLAN FOUNDATION
The management of Bowen University has distanced itself from a purported partnership with PLAN Foundation to perform corrective surgeries for children with clubfoot under the MiracleFeet project.
A statement signed by B.T Adetona, the university’s registrar, declared that neither the Chief Medical Director of Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, nor the Directorate of Health Services or the entire management Bowen of University is aware of or involved in such collaboration.
The statement reads in full, “it has come to the attention of Bowen University that a message has been circulating on social media, claiming that Bowen University is partnering with PLAN Foundation to perform
corrective surgeries for children with clubfoot under the MiracleFeet project.
“While we recognize that this initiative is a commendable one, Bowen University wishes to categorically state that the Chief Medical Director of Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, the Directorate of Health Services, and the entire management of Bowen University are unaware of any such collaboration with PLAN Foundation.
“Bowen University and its affiliates have no partnership or agreement with PLAN Foundation for this programme. The general public is advised to exercise caution and verify information before
engaging in such programmes. Any dealing with this purported collaboration is at your own risk, as Bowen University is not involved.
“We urge everyone to stay informed through official channels and avoid sharing or acting on unverified information,” it added.
