Read Time:56 Second

Dr. Nsikak Akpan, a lecturer from Nigeria, is presently attempting to smash the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest lecture.

The GWR allowed Akpan to break the record for the longest lecture, which was set in 2014 by an Indian professor named Arvin Mishra, who spoke for 139 hours, 52 minutes, and 42 seconds.

The Foreign Links College provost began the quest on Monday, September 23, on the campus of the local government of Moro, Ife-North. As of Wednesday afternoon, when this report was filed, the provost had given 54 hours of lectures.

The Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU, alumni is delivering a lecture on, “the relationship between man’s environment and health”, with students of the school sitting as audience.

He is scheduled to finish the assignment by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

He would be the first lecturer in Nigeria to finish a task of that nature when it was finished.

As he works to educate people about the effects of environmental abuse on humans, he claims that the mission is to give back to the academic community.
