ATIKU ENDORSES AGBOOLA AJAYI AS ONDO PDP GUBER CANDIDATE
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has endorsed Hon. Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election set for Saturday.
Atiku called on PDP members in Ondo State to mobilize broad support to ensure the party’s victory. He made this appeal in a statement issued by his Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, in Abuja on Tuesday.
He described Ajayi as a dedicated politician capable of leading the PDP to victory and improving the welfare of the people of Ondo, also known as the Sunshine State.
The Turakin Adamawa stated, “The governorship election in Ondo this Saturday presents an opportunity for the people to elevate the state toward greater prosperity.
“The APC has shown itself to be a highly unpopular party that lacks the people’s best interests at its core,” he said. “The people of Ondo State now have an opportunity in Hon. Ajayi of the PDP to signal to the APC that enough is enough.”
Atiku also assured that PDP leaders would provide all necessary support to prevent any suppression of the people’s will. He issued a strong warning to election officials, emphasizing the PDP’s resolve to resist any malpractice.
The former Vice President further urged the citizens of Ondo State to vote in large numbers and to ensure their votes count.
“When the tide is high, it becomes too big to rig. The people of Ondo State are known for their integrity, and this election demands unwavering vigilance,” Atiku added.
