LAGOS GOVT ANNOUNCES DATES FOR SECOND PHASE OF SCHOOLS’ EXAMINATION CODES REVALIDATION
The Lagos State Government has set the dates for the second phase of its Revalidation of Schools’ Examination Codes Exercise, which will take place from Monday, November 18 to Friday, December 13, 2024. The exercise will be held at the Lagos State Examinations Board in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos, and will run daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
In a statement issued by Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu, Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, the second phase aims to provide a final opportunity for schools that missed the initial revalidation exercise held from November 1 to 28, 2023. The goal is to ensure that these schools have their Examination Codes properly validated, which are essential for participation in the state’s school-based examinations.
“The revalidation exercise is critical for gathering necessary data from schools that have not yet received their Examination Codes,” said Orunsolu. “These codes are vital prerequisites for schools to be eligible for examinations administered by the Lagos State Examinations Board.”
Schools participating in the revalidation must present several required documents, including, Approval Letter from the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Subject Recognition Inspection Report (SR), Receipt for payment of the approved fee into the Central Billing System of the State, Receipt of Payment for the Unique Identification Code (School Code), Last Results collected (for dormant schools)
Orunsolu emphasized that the documentation is crucial for ensuring accurate data collection, which will support proper planning and facilitate the successful conduct of examinations in the state.
