AERO SLASHES LOCAL FLIGHT TICKETS TO N80,000 FOR ALL ROUTES
A minimum ticket price of N80,000 has been announced by Aero Contractors for local flights on all of its routes throughout the holiday season.
Ado Sanusi, the managing director of the airline, revealed this information to reporters during a conference on Tuesday. He described the move as a way to ease the financial strain on Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year festivities.
The program, which will continue until January 2024, is a part of the company’s holiday giving back to its clients, according to Sanusi.
He said, “We understand the economic hardship Nigerians are facing, especially with high ticket prices, and we know the holiday season is nearby.
“In the spirit of Christmas, Aero Contractors has introduced what we call pocket-friendly Christmas prices. These fares, starting at N80,000, will apply to all our destinations, allowing Nigerians to travel without excessive costs.”
As of Tuesday afternoon, business class seats on Aero Contractors cost N189,167, while an economy ticket from Lagos to Abuja cost N99,643.
According to Sanusi, the airline created the program to make sure that families could be together during the holidays without going over budget.
“This is a way for us, as an organization with a long history of serving Nigerians, to give back to our loyal customers. We want to make it possible for families to meet their loved ones during this festive season without worrying about exorbitant travel costs,” he added.
Sanusi promised clients that, after accounting for the present state of the economy, Aero Contractors will continue to turn a profit even with the price cut.
