NED NWOKO SET TO DUMP PDP FOR APC
Strong indications have emerged that the Chairman, Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, Senator Ned Nwoko (Delta North), has concluded arrangements to dump his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Even though the Senator has not made an official announcement of his defection, when Vanguard contacted him on the development, asking if there were plans for him to leave the PDP for APC, he simply replied thus, “soon”.
Nwoko has been a vocal critic of Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
He may be moving to the ruling party to join his predecessor, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, following his frosty relationship with PDP leaders in the state.
It was also gathered that another reason for leaving the party is because the immediate past governor of Delta, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who was the senator representing Delta North before Nwaoboshi, is plotting to return to the Red Chamber in 2027 under the same platform of the PDP.
