SECURITY OPERATIVES DEMOLISH UDOKA GOLDEN POINT HOTEL OBA, ANAMBRA OVER KIDNAPPING ACTIVITIES
Security operators have demolished the Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as “La Cruise Hotel,” located along the Onitsha-Owerri expressway in Oba, Idemili South LGA, Anambra State. The hotel, previously considered a regular roadside establishment, has been identified as a notorious hideout for kidnappers and criminal activities.
The demolition was carried out in accordance with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law after security forces uncovered the hotel’s disturbing role as a base for a local kidnapping syndicate. Authorities have revealed that the facility was used as a site for storing victims and orchestrating various criminal operations.
Upon investigation, security operators discovered chilling evidence within the hotel’s premises, including shrines and over 30 well-partitioned graves located on the top floor of the building. This grisly find has led to widespread horror, as it raises the disturbing possibility that numerous lives may have been lost in the hotel, and many kidnapping survivors subjected to severe abuse and torment within its walls.
The demolition of the Udoka Golden Point Hotel serves as part of ongoing efforts by Anambra state authorities to clamp down on criminal activity in the region and ensure the safety and security of residents. The recent operation is a stark reminder of the dark underbelly of criminal activities that continue to plague parts of the state.
