2025 WAEC: COMMISSIONER CHARGES PRINCIPALS, TEACHERS TO BRACE UP
The Lagos State Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Jamiu Tolani Alli-Balogun has charged Principals, Teachers and other stakeholders to brace up and leave no stone unturned to ensure that their students fly high in the forthcoming 2025 West African Examination Council (WAEC).
The Commissioner gave the charge during a working visit to Education District I, Agege at Sanngo Senior High School, Agege recently. He also charged them to ensure that the May/June 2025 WAEC results are excellent, especially in Mathematics and English, emphasising the need for all concerned to work with their teachers to motivate students to perform better in their respective schools.
Highlighting the importance of assigning essays to students to improve their study habits, Alli-Balogun stressed the need for the development of a strong reading culture in all schools within Education District I, Lagos State.
Responding, the Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of the District, Mr. Adeoye Bashir Adebowale commended the Commissioner for his diligence and dedication to ensuring the enhancement of the education sector.
Applauding the efforts of the Principals and Teachers, he, however, advised them not to relent in their efforts by supporting the State Government in its agenda of elevating the State’s education sector to international standards.
Adebowale emphasised Mr. Governor’s passion for education and the fact that a larger percentage of the budget has always been allocated to education.
Present at the meeting were the Heads of Department, Principals and Teachers of the District.
