
ROTARY CLUB OF IKORODU GOLDEN PROVIDES FREE MEDICAL SERVICES TO OVER 300 RESIDENTS
Ikorodu, Lagos – The Rotary Club of Ikorodu Golden has extended vital healthcare services to the residents of Ebute, Ikorodu, through its Family Health Day Program held at Oba Sekumade’s Palace. The initiative benefited no fewer than 315 individuals, providing free medical consultations, screenings, treatments, and essential healthcare supplies.
The medical outreach offered a wide range of services, including:
- Malaria screening and treatment
- Polio immunization for children
- HIV testing and counseling
- Hepatitis B & C screening
- Diabetes and glucose level screening
- Hypertension screening
- Tuberculosis screening
- Vitamin A administration
- Deworming for children
- Distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets
- Provision of sanitary pads
- Eye tests and free medicated glasses
- HPV vaccination
- COVID-19 awareness and sensitization
The event aligns with Rotary International’s mission of “Service Above Self,” aimed at improving public health and ensuring access to essential medical care, especially for underserved communities.
